Learn the basics of editing and developing your photos and get up and running with the power of Adobe Lightroom in record time in our Lightroom Fundamentals workshop.

Are you finally ready to make the move to shooting RAW images but need a little help with getting the hang of organizing and processing them in Lightroom? We’ve got the workshop for you. In our new three-session Lightroom Fundamentals workshop you’ll learn how to import, organize, and process your photographs, as well as how to adopt a workflow to keep things running smoothly.

With digital photography, our photo collections are growing faster than ever before. Gone are the shoeboxes full of prints… Now we’ve got cameras, flash drives, memory cards, and computers full of photographs with no good way to access them. At least until Adobe Lightroom came along—this program is a powerful tool for keeping track of all your photographs.

But don’t let the power of Lightroom intimidate you! This workshop will cover all the Lightroom basics in a palatable and accessible way for anyone who wants to get started with image editing. You’ll get an overview of all the most important editing tools and hands-on instruction with how to use them.

Lightroom Fundamentals will also cover how to export your images in various sizes for web, email, or print to make sure they get seen.

Class Schedule:

Day 1: Setting up the Lightroom catalog and an introduction to the Library module. We will go over methods for importing files into Lightroom, renaming files, adding metadata, and other handy organizational techniques.

Day 2: More great tips for organizing your photos, how to search within your catalog, and using collections. We’ll also start with how to use the Lightroom Develop module and have an hands-on discussion about the image processing workflow.

Day 3: We’ll continue working in the develop module and also cover how to use the local adjustment tools and how to export files out of Lightroom, as well as discuss file types and their uses.
