Storytelling in the Digital Age:
What’s your story?  A social change?  A journey?  A (auto)biography?  By combining images, text, narration, and computer based tools with lecture, guest speakers, demonstrations, and critiques, students will explore the art of digital narrative.  Along the way, students will acquire a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, increased multimedia literacy on both audio and visual fronts, and valuable college preparation.  With access to an in-house mentor team of writing and photography instructors, students will design and create a digital media project to be presented at our July 30th Premiere/Open House.  Students must have access to a camera and laptop during the 2 weeks of class.  Classes will be limited to 12 students.

Sample project ideas are as follows: Photo book with narrative and artist statement, *gallery show accompanied by an artist statement, profile of a person of the student’s choosing, photojournalistic piece, alternative (digital) college essay.  Lunch provided everyday by R.S.V.P. Catering.

Premiere/Open House: July 30th, 6 PM with appetizers courtesy of  R.S.V.P. Catering.
